Why wasn't Bracken picked in the Australian test side

He was tooo lazy

The selectors seem to think u need young firebrand is in the bowling attack & Bracken is skills do not seem to get respect. McDonald bowled a lot of cutters at the cracks - something Bracken could've done with slightly more pace & much more skill on days four & five. Knowing Hauritz was not going to be threatening, perhaps they would've been better off playing a spin-bowling top order batsman at number six (North or D Hussey) & having Bracken as the 4th pace bowler if they were desperate to have Bollinger in the side.

If they'd played Bracken l think they would've played Hilfenhaus ahead of Bollinger. Could not see them playing 3 left-armers. On decks receptive to seam movement in S.A. he really should come into consideration, but unless he has a staggering one-day series l can not see it happening. If S. Clark tours l do not think Bracken will.

He is not a test player, he is an OD l specialist bowler

It seems to me like Cricket Australia have a Certain Group of Players who will always get picked.

How David Hussey & Brad Hodge have played little cricket for Australia is beyond me.

Nathan Bracken is another one. Doug Bollinger is nowhere near the quality of Bracken.

Bracken is First Class record suggests he is more than just a one day specialist, infact he has a stronger or equal First Class record than most Australian seamers in the last 30 years. Australia r missing a great talent here, his OD l record is better than McGrath's! for Goodness sake!!

Bracken also bowls the right line for Test cricket, nice & full add a bit of swing & all the cutters & tricks in the world, & u will see a very capable Test match bowler. Cricket Australia r a very stubborn Board, most countries would kill for a player of Bracken is quality.

Lastly people look at his Test record & think he is not good enough, but u have to remember that 3 of the 5 matches he played were against India (when Dravid, Tendulkar, Laxman & Ganguly were all on fire) so his record should not be judged on the little Test matches he has played.

l do not know why either. l can not work out why Hauritz was picked either.

Hauritz is better than Krejza. He took more wickets than Krejza and he conceded less runs,

l do not understand why they have not played him in tests he is a very very clever bowler and just needs a chance hes got all the tricks in the book im always hoping to see him play l thought he was the future
