It is because it old trafford is being renovated whilst the ashes are on. They're getting a new stand built l think, but they should be back on the list as soon as the building work is completed.

l do agree with you on the choice of Cardiff. No one plays cricket in wales. Maybe they could chose Canterbury or Chester le Street.

The Old Trafford Ground as great as it is with the history and the fans, does not have the facilities that other Test Match Grounds do. Everything about OT screams ''OLD'' and that is why it has been decided that OT needs a facelift, to get back to it is former glory.

OT has the best Cricket Pitch in England though, we have not lost on there for 6 or 7 years (maybe longer) but it seems the ECB do not care about England winning, but more about revenue.
