some ppl say that players get injured while they go play in the IPL and cant do their nation duty....
so how is it IPLs fault that the players get injured...
it was the player who chose to go there in the first place...

the player themselver are to blame if they get injured cause IT WAS THEIR CHOICE IN THE FIRST PLACE.....IPL IS OPTIONAL....ITZ NOT PART OF THE NATIONAL CONTRACT.....GET IT!!!

If u notice crefully, Indian team attitude has become fearless & attacking since IPL started. This is also a grooming platform for Indian youngsters , many players have been discovered for India & waiting for a go in international cricket. This also is very entertaining cricket & fill up the stadiums & consequently fill up pockets of BCCI. All in all it is win win situation for India!

If players come here & get injured , it is their choice to play for money ! No one is compelling them to appear here & play !

i have to agree with u that envy is leading to this kind of hate speech by them. Perhaps they should control their own cricket players instead of getting jealous from IPL !

Kudos to Lalit for starting such a league which will bring more & more talent ahead !

l will tell u why most true cricket lovers hate it.
A. It has caused much dissention in a lot of teams.
B. It uses money to entice good players away from their national team.
C. It tires out players so they dont perform at their best when playing for their country.
D. It was set up with ripping off money only in mind, nothing to do with the love of cricket.
E. It is just another backdoor way India is trying out to get total control of cricket.

Now u tell me, why would anyone be jealous of that?

l did enjoy watching the IPL, however having no allegiance to any of the teams meant that l felt detached from it all. As great as the spectacle often was the tournament for me was too long.

As for players getting injured, it is sad for their countries but surely it is less workload than most domestic cricket and/or county cricket compititions.

l know from the Australian cricketers perspective; bowlers r throwing down a lot less balls per calender year than say 25 years a go when they were expected to participate in all domestic tests as well as the International fixtures.

l do not hate IPL but it is not REAL cricket.

Yeah l hate the IPL & l like a few other Aussies has not watched even 1 over of the micky mouse hot & giggle game.It is a waste of money,the India millionaires should put the time into helping India is many millions of homeless kids,instead of paying nearly 1 million dollare for a player why not donate that money instead of asking the rest of the world to donate to them.
And dont start about all the injuries to players neither,just in Australia is team we had 4 players who were injured.
