How come Irfan Pathan was selected over RP Singh again

if l was a selector, l would always select irfan.cozz he is the only allrounder india can rely on..

l think the selectors got it wrong because although Irfan is an allrounder, he is not playing like one. We already have two all rounders in my view, Yuvraj Singh and Yusuf Pathan.

Irfan has the potential to bat. He can be a good swinger of the ball in foreign soil. He can be used as a good all rounder.

l do not think RP Singh was that much impressive in the Ranji's.

Irfan had bowled magnificent spells before also & was a part of the match-winning Indian T20 team.

l think thats enough to take Irfan ahead of RP Singh.

There are many options in fast bowling dept like zaheer ,munaf, Ishant , but there is not a lot of medium swing bowlers so they would have gone for Irfan as the 5th bowler who could bowl out the slog overs.

Irfan can be relied on for his batting which is not reliable with RP
