Immensely naturaly talented, and inspired by my fathers memory, l devoted myself to cricket, and began to make a name for myself as the finest strokemaker to come through the schools system in decades.

Making my FC debut at 20, l was a surprise selection for the national side at the age of 23; batting at no 7 and taking 4-54 for the match.

While my career was never to reach the heights that were expected in my youth, l still played over 70 times for my country in a career spanning 11 years.

l scored nearly 10,000 FC runs with 10 centuries, and captured over 750 wickets at an average of 26.

Known as an extroverted personality, l appeared in the blockbuster movie, ''Chariots with Fire''.

My last test match, was also the first for a player who, though he was in and out of the national side for much of his career, nevertheless played over 200 internationals, captaining many.

In regards to the quiz,
