Sri Lanka is weak in tests compared to India,South Africa or even Pakistan.Their batsman are not that great (Sangakarra and Jayawardene are top-class batsman but others are not even 1 % of them).Today is Sri Lanka looks like more of 1990 is Indian team.

Seeing the present situation the Indians are in terrific form.The Sri Lankans are also good but l think the momentum is with India right now.

At the moment India might be in a better form in ODIs and T20s, but Sri Lanka is not performing that bad either. Dont get me wrong, BUT If you are talking about test matches, then l have to say, Sri Lanka has been performing far better than India at the moment. They have currently lost to Bangladesh, but thats no big deal, many big teams have lost to minnow teams many times.

It is mainly the interest that the Sri Lankan kids have on cricket. At school level, they play amazing cricket, then club cricket etc. Now we have a good process of selecting the best players unlike in early days. Those days the players were selected based on criteria such as the ability to speak English, school, ur family background etc. But now, the focus is solely on good players.. If u r one, then you're in the team.. ..
