It looks like Dave Warner may get a go to open for the ODI is for Australia this summer (after game 2)

but with an up coming tour of South Africa and the Ashes this year too, who will replace him at the top in the tests??

Surely we cant take a debutant. We need a proven player for South Africa and the Ashes - or is there someone there who can make their debut?

l cant think of anyone except for one who has not played a test which is Shawn Marsh, do you thik he is ready?

Jacques will be a good choice ..

Phil Jacques will definitely be the long term opener, it is only because he is injured that other names are being thrown up

These players are very succesful at domestic level and should be given a go. Shaun Marsh is not ready yet, as he only averages 35 in first class cricket. The least likely are ones like Michael Klinger.

Hard to replace such a great player but l think it will be Phil Jaques and l hope he keep away from making controversial comments unlike Matty.

Yeah I'd love to see how Warner goes in a test.

As an Englishman l think you need to take someone with English experience to deal with the conditions and l think Phil Jaques is your man. He has test and English county experience and is probably the best option you have to partner Katich at the top unless there is any chance of Mike Hussey opening as he used to in county cricket.
