Vsarma - dont get blindsided by rpi and such.
Look at the opposition; runs scored in first innings; consistentency of performance; ability against all types of bowling and on variable surfaces.
Hussey is not on the same planet as Javed Miandad.
Flower was class, but not comparable to Tendulkar.
Crowe was included as during the late 80 is he was without question the best white batsman in the world - and even the great John Arlott included him in his best 50 batsmen of the century.
Bowling - you cannot consider Kumble remotely comparable to Warne. That is actually laughable.
Hadlee was good, but outside the true greats Marshall & Lillee (Hadlee himself regarded Lillee as the greatest ever). And as first change, I'd prefer Akram is speed, and swing, along with left arm than Hadlee seamers.

Wicket-Keeper / Batsman: Andrew Flower or Adam Gilchrist

Bowlers: Murali, Richard Hadlee, Anil Kumble, Malcolm Marshall.

Allrounder: Imran Khan

Greenidge played 86 matches since 1980 & scored 5,744 runs in 130 innings. RPM 66.8; RP l 44.2; Compare this to Sanga is 6,356 runs in 76 matches & 116 innings. RPM 83.6; RP l 54.8. So, l choose Sanga over Gordon Greenidge.
Miandad played 97 matches since 1980 & scored 6,580 runs in 132 innings. RPM 67.8; RP l 49.8; Compare this to Mike Hussey is 2,824 runs in 31 matches & 44 innings. RPM 91.1; RP l 64.2. So, l choose Mike Hussey over Miandad.
Tendulkar played 154 matches since 1980 & scored 12,273 runs in 226 innings. RPM 79.7; RP l 54.3; Compare this to Andy Flower is 4,794 runs in 63 matches & 93 innings. RPM 76.1; RP l 51.5. The runs scored by Andrew Flower constitute 8.7 percent of the series runs whereas the runs scored by Tendulkar form 7.65 percent of the series runs. Andy Flower dominated bowling more than Sachin. So, l choose Flower over Sachin. Martin Crowe scored 5,444 runs in 77 matches, 120 innings RPM 70.7, RP l 45.4 & hence is not considered.
In bowling, u have selected Warne, Akram & Lillee against my selection of Anil, Hadlee & Imran. My selection has an edge over yours.
Edit: l am not guided by the averages. l am more guided by the domination of a player in a series & then take the weighted averages of each series. If it is a low scoring series or high scoring series, l go by the percentage of performances, not the physical averages. The physical averages were given where they mattered but the data not given is the percentage performances.
Kumble Vs Warnie: l feel that Kumble played like a lonely hero whereas Warnie was helped by classy bowlers.
Martin Crowe Vs Yousuf Vs Sachin: You know the data. When great people say some thing they go by their 'feeling' whereas l go by the actual performances on the field.
No world team can be complete without either Gary Sobers or his equivalent Imran Khan.

Sunil Gavaskar - Averages over 50 & there is not a country he struggled playing against.
Geoffrey Boycott - Exactly the same reason as Gavaskar but he averaged above 45.
Brian Lara - As good as Tendulkar.
Sachin Tendulkar - The greatest batsman during this period. A useful bowler as well. He is better at this position than Crowe, which is too bad since l wanted Crowe put somewhere.
Javed Miandad - A fantastic batsman who kept playing for more than 20 years. Very consistent with the bat. He also bowls legspin, which is really cool.
Doug Walters - Averages close to 50 with the bat. Consistent against all opposition. Bowls useful medium deliveries as well.
Allan Knott- Finest wicketkeeper to play the game. He averages over 40 batting at number 7. There is not a team he struggled against either. People nowadays pick batting skill over wicketkeeping skills, which is killing off the specialist keeper..
Richard Hadlee - You might not like him, but he is a genuine all-rounder. He got more runs & wickets than Akram in 16 less matches. He has better bowling & batting averages. He is better.
Wasim Akram - Not as good as Hadlee, but if there is swing, he is the world is best bowler. Good at getting big scores, but can be inconsistent with the bat
Malcolm Marshall - A great bowler at his peak. A useful batter as well.
Shane Warne - Does not bowl as well as Murali, but whips him batting & fielding. Also, legspinners r cooler than offspinners. It is so much more difficult to learn.

I've picked a strong all-round team. Every single player can bat (nine have more than one century). l have 3 fast bowlers & one leg spinner, along with 1 part time medium bowler(walters), 1 part time legspinner (Miandad) & Tendulkar, who bowls medium, offspin & legspin.
