Australia have the stronger batting line-up. Ashwell Prince who has been one of South Africa is strongest players, has a poor record against Australia. Neil McKenzie is honeymoon period is over & he starting to go through a bad patch. Much will rest on Graeme Smith & Jacques Kallis, who r South Africa is strongest batsmen. South Africa is batsmen can either be brilliant or terrible.

Australia is batting is great because someone always seems to chip in & make the runs, If Hayden & Ponting miss out then there is Hussey & Clarke will score the runs. Australia is batting line-up in world cricket.

South Africa is seamers have to be firing to win the game, South Africa (like Australia) have no spin threat so it will all come down to fast bowler vs batsmen.

If the South African batsmen find swing, they will be dangerous. Unfortnately for South Africa there seam attack is 1 dimensional & Australia could punish it.

Bright chances for Australia to win!..Many players were in good form!

l think the favourites will be Australia but South Africa have been playing good test cricket for the past two years & can give the Australian team a very hard time & on the WACA ground in Perth l think South Africa have a good chance to win due to the bounce & pace of the pitch with their fast bowling line up.


Key South African players:

Makaya Ntini is back to some good form after going back to domestic cricket & getting some good rhythm plus he is a strong bowler to left handers & he gave the Aussie left handers a hard time last time around.

Dale Steyn has been the Proteas best test bowler for a while now when the ball swings at his pace he can give lots of batsmen trouble.

Morne Morkel he may be wayward a lot of the time but he seems to be getting some control back & when he gets it right with his pace & bounce from his height many batsmen will have trouble playing him.

Graeme Smith he does not have a good record against the Aussies this will be a series where he will have to do well for South Africa to have a chance.

Hashim Amla our best number three batsmen in years this is his biggest test in his career so far if he does well in that position against the Aussie he can help lay platform for the lower order batsmen.

Jacques Kallis has been out of form as a batsmen since the England tour this is perfect stage to step up & with his experience against Australia South Africa need him to play well with bat & ball.

Australian Key players:

Matthew Hayden he is a really attacking opening & has been known to punish SA bowlers at a fast pace SA will need to get him early.

Ricky Ponting usually scores lots of runs vs SA always a danger player.

Michael Hussey is another rock in the Aussie bating line up hard to dismiss.

Brett Lee is always a danger at home with the new ball at his pace.

Mitchell Johnson has proved to be a really good test bowler.

Naturally as a South African supporter l am leaning towards South Africa because l feel it may be our best chance to beat Australia in Australia & feel this team have the ability to beat anyone & have been building towards it.

They r both good teams. Australia is always a difficult opposition especially on fast wickets. Their bowling has suffered after the exit of McGrath & Warne & Brett Lee is not getting the wickets the way he used to get them but he is a wonderful bowler. Stuart Clarke is good but not in the same league as McGrath. Mitchell Johnson is one of the best fast bowler right now with Australia. They have found a good spinner in Kreza.

On the other hand South Africa is a good bowling team but they will surely miss Pollock. They have good bowlers but they r not as strong as Australia.

Same goes on with batting. With the Australian losing in India they would be like wounded tigers waiting to pounce. Victory against NewZealand would have surely boosted their confidence. Australian batsman to look out for would be Hussey & Hayden.
Southafrican batsman to look out for would be Prince & Smith

Now thats a tough choice to choose who will win between south africa and australia though, l mean both are The best teams in the world.
From australia their key players might be- Lee, Michael clark, Ponting and simon katich.
From south africe- DW Steyn, Kallis, Prince and Smith.
