Not only Murali & Mendis but the fast pace bowlers did there duty also.

Also SL batsman tore threw the very best Indian pace bowlers also in the test series.

Thilian Samaraweera, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Malintha Warnapura, Jayawardene, jayasuriya, Sangakkara, & Prasanna Jayawardene did excellent batting VS Indian pace attack for an innings & runs victory over India.

Also SL bowlers were at there wicket taking best not only ffrom M&M but, with top of the class Chaminda Vaas, Kulasekara, Mirando, & prassana dude,,,were at there lethal best...
so l will disagree with M&M.

Inconsistent as of now. Yuvraj Singh has stepped up to the occassion whenever India really needed him in both the tests, well done to Yuvraj. Laxman has not stood up to expectations. Dhoni had not performed that well with the bat either..

*You really cant help praising SL can u? Anyway the point is that Mendis and Murali made the difference and if u didnt have them im sorry u people wudve had an impressive downfall vs India :D*

l think it was good right now but if u see the lineup only seniors are playing slowly but all others play fast it is not right test batting so we have to improve defensive batting other wise we may ruin like t20 it is best to replace laxman by badrinath

Inconsistent..Like Rahul Dravid hit a 100 in the 1st inning and then we saw him go for a duck in the second inning! VVS Laxman is never consistent too..even Yuvi is not that consistent but he played some most satisfying knocks against Eng..His 85 in the test and 86 in the 2nd test helped India a lot! And his performance in the OD l series was SPECTACULAR!!! Yuvi is back, watch out for him!!!

India is test middle order is not imaculate.or neither is it downright crappy (like Australia.do not freak out.i have reasons..Haddin??(undeserving of the spot of a legendary predecessor) Clarke??(why do they use him as captain???) Ponting???(OH PLEASE.OVERATED)Symonds?(well.he is ok)Hussey (he is their best)..anyways thats a different argument in itself. Back to the topic at hand.
India is midlle order for tests is..umm.average. Just keep them away from Mendis!! especially Yuvraj!!

As the person who answered before me.they r good at times.but bad at others. Also.the middle order is really good at home pitches. They feel pretty comfortable.
On the other hand.it may not be their fault that they did so.idk.in the SL series.it just may have been the great bowling of Murali & Mendis. They just did not let the batsmen settle. So.they r really skilled batsmen, but outplayed by the SL spinners. l guess if they want to step it up.they just need to play against Mendis & Murali.or get some sort of practice.

Conclusion: They r good. Murali & Mendis r better :)
