First Opening Home defeat, since 1988. l think he willing to drop Brett Lee, Jason Krejza, and Peter Siddle. l think Australia should drop Peter and Jason, but not Brett. Do you agree?

Honestly, l think Brett is in trouble. l dont think he will miss the melbourne test, but if his figures dont improve after the next match, then we might see the third test without him. Krejza is ok for now, he will be in trouble when n if another 'Warnie' gets on the scene. If Clarke is fit, Siddle will be gone.

We need to find a consistant swing bowler.

Personally l dont think the batting is the trouble, l will say the tail has certainly wagged thou.

l was wondering if the skipper considered how much runs he scored in the test. Brett Lee is one of the last people he would consider. Actually, l believe Brett Lee scored more runs than the skipper. Should start considering whether Symonds, Siddle & Krezja deserves another stint. The test selectors wont even consider it, but l feel Hayden is spot needs a look at. It is one thing to have faith in a champion team member of old. Its definitely another to keep players just for the sake of their old time memories.

Yeah l read that mate. There r some major problems in the bowling department. Nobody other than Johnson is getting wickets. Brett cant get wickets against better teams like India & SA.

One part of me says that u need to drop Jason & Krejza. But then u gotta consider that they got a callup in the first place because they were good at the domestic level. Peter & Jason havent been given enough chances. Jason have just played 2 tests. First one was successful but this one was a flop. Can we call failing in a single test as a criteria for dropping a player? In that case, that would severly shatter Jason is confidence.

Brett Lee is the one that needs to be dropped if ya ask me but then there is no replacement for him. Without him & Stuart Clarke, this attack wont have any experience. So, Brett has to be retained at any cost.

The selectors need to do something or drop themselves. The stories are all about the bowlers being dropped. Well maybe if the batsmen had created a good lead the bowlers would not be trying to protect their backs. Hayden should go, likewise Symonds. Symonds has had one score since he came back. Hussey has not done a lot either since he returned from India but he should stay.

Few things need to be changed:

The selection committee should be dropped & refurbished.

Pointng must be showed out along with Hayden & Lee.

Should have a person better common sense who can gell the team as well as remain cool, proactive & not foot in mouth statement maker (Symmonds not a role model lik statements)

Above all, Australia need a good opener. Hayden has started taking his place for granted due to paucity of opener. So is the case with the Punter. His slot is also in quag mire.

Shaun Tait must replace Lee. Clark though mild, would still be a better captain than Poiting & Symmo carries a better head & he should be made Clark is deputy.(An aborigin? that will be in the minds of the racist Australians). But that will be for the better future of Australian cricket.

Yeah, l agree with you. Krejza & Siddle should be dropped. Bring in Doug Bollinger. But Brett Lee is the most experienced bowler in our side & even though he is not performing up to his standards, he should be retained for the Boxing Day Test. But unless he gets some wickets, his position will be under scrutiny.

l do not know why everyone is so intent on dropping Ricky Ponting. We r one down in this series & l do not think Clarke can handle that pressure? Again who will be an apt replacemet for Ricky?

Do not drop Ponting as he helps the other side to win with his demented captaincy.
