Maybe if l won ''Who wants to be a millionaire'' like that guy!! (hey where is that show now in Australia did they sack it.i never even noticed)
Experts were expecting it to sell for a lot more then that though. One of the greatest pieces of sporting memorabilia, and l think it should be in a museum or something for public display so future generations can see how significant both Don Bradman and the Baggy Green are.

No, l am too much of a miser. If l am thinking about spending money, l will think about it. If l really want to spend some money, l will ask for advice, & if l really, really want to, l will get someone else to pay!
But pieces of sports memorabilia like that should be in a museum, & available for everyone to look at, not be in the hands of private collectors. l think that sort of thing is absolutely criminal. Indeed, spending that amount of money on a cap is criminal: no matter who has worn it, it is just a piece of cloth after all. There r far better, & more important things for money to be spent on.

l would not pay this much for anybody is used clothing regardless of the admiration l may have for the person. The guy who bought and sold it should have, instead, spent the money on having his head examined.
And l am not sure why it should be in a museum either. But thank you for the question, l am still chuckling.

It would be a great piece of memorabilia to have but no l wouldn't. If l had that much money it would go on something sensible like a house.

If it was the Don is original 'baggy', maybe l would, but not for the one used on his last trip to England as was the case with this one l believe.
Eventhough he would have worn it when he ''scored'' his final duck - no wonder he gave it away;-)

Well it did not fetch as much as they originally estimated,a long way off actually..Look if l had a spare $400,000 to throw away and l was a big Bradman fan then yes l probably would by it,but in this day and age and with my bank balance mate if l had that sort of money it would go to buying a house for me and my family.

l think , it will not be a useful deal to strike. i'm passionate about the game and the man but not a fanatic. l will buy a sports car Porsche instead of buying this !
god bless!

Bloody oath.if l had it though. l dont think l could find enough money to buy the Dons baggy green on 10 bucks a week! It would be the best thing to own though. Can you imagine going for a game of beach cricket with your mates with the Dons cap handsomely purched atop your noggin. You'd be just about guaranteed to get the first bat, which is important when the majority of your mates are unfit and get tired after a while!

Not a chance, l did pay 1,500 for the Aussie teams signatures on their shirt however. l am bound to offend someone here, but heroes from an era of cricket where the opposition was limited, skills were not as high & modern forms of the game had not even been dreamed about.well would Bradman have been as good if he batted today? l think not. The person who buys his cap at that ridiculous price would only be buying it as a status symbol. If it was the original cap he was given, maybe some museum might buy it so everyone can view it. Otherwise..well no-one bought it did they? The thing about historical memorabilia is that it is only worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it.

If l had a truckload of money l would look at something like this and then donate it to a museum somewhere in Australia so the item could stay in Australia.
