After 16 wickets fell on Day 2, leaving only 14 left to be taken in the match, do you think the Brisbane test will be all over red rover by the end of tomorrow? Harry: And whether NZ bat better in the 2nd innings Evan: NZ are still a chance ... get those last four out quickly and have the batsman apply themselves better at the crease. Evan: Yeah, agree with your edit, the lads have their work cut out for them ... Damo: 6/131 at stumps, lead is 189.

l hope not, but l doubt it?
It all depends on how the batters for Australia go, mainly Katich!

Looks like that and l have a feeling Ponting will be smiling at the presentation.
Edit: l did not say they've no chance but it is not going to be easy; anything over 220'd be very tough considering the nature of the pitch and l think the Aussies have the fire power to defend it

Lol. l really do not know. So far its been a bowlers' game. If the Aussies lose their 4 wickets quickly with a lead of around 250, and if we ball you guys out for a total similar to the first innings ( am l hoping too much?lol), then perhaps all will be over by tomorrow.
But if you guys offer us some resistance, then.. l still think it is any man is game.

NZ will win if it goes to day four. To some extent yes; Clarke in the first, Katich in the second, and Ross for NZ. The rest were in the procession.

More than likely. While it is good to have a result, ideally you want a even spread of wickets and runs. Never mind. l will be able to go out on Sunday now!

l take it the aussies stayed on 6 fa ??. anyways, it will be interesting, tomorrow is weather is overcast in morning (perfect for bowling),,, but sunshine in afternoon (perfect for batting), if we (aus) can last thru the morning sestion without a loss of a wicket l think you will we will try and bat the day out. On the other hand, if we happen to get bowled out before lunch with a total of less then 250 lead. l think were gunna be in deep $hit

26 wickets in 2 days, 16 wickets on day-2 itself. The match most probably will not go into the fourth day.
And if New Zealand can get the rest of the wickets inside an hour, then game on. They will be chasing something like 230. Perfectly gettable.

The wicket will be much better tomorrow, as there will be much less swing. This match should go into the fourth day, unless our batting lineup collapses.
All we need to do is bat defensively. If we restrict Australia is lead to around 250, we can win this match.

l dont think so,unless nz player stops playing loose shots and touching the wide deliveries, and play defensive cricket (i hope they do) they should realise that if they work hard on batting and concentrate more(like mike hussey),they will be partying tomorrow or day after tomorrow

If you guys can get early wickets day 3 should be prime time for batting, grass cover should be taken off.

l think NZ have a real chance mate.
They need to wrap up the Aussie lower-order quickly tomorrow (for less than 30 runs) & then its a very even match. With the bowling attack of Southee & the type of good deliveries that Martin has been bowling, NZ have a chance of wrapping it up.
NZ also have a huge amount of time to bat to win the match, the batsmen can basically leave anything outside the off-stump until they r set. NZ can score at less than 2an over & still win the match.
The batsmen need some discipline, also remember that Australia do not have a Warne who can win the match, & the normally consistently strong Lee looks out of touch.
Good luck mate.

l can not see that happening, but then l may be wrong. But apart from Clarke & Ryder is little 'pain sessions' it has been a wonderfully peaceful & enjoyable match to watch.

Chasing the target of 327 runs for a win, New Zeland are 9 runs for the loss of 1 wicket after lunch. Hence the match will defenitely go to 4th day.
